Beach Ambassadors plans, coordinates, and oversees social and sporting events to help raise money and awareness for Hampton Roads-based charities. The group’s main fund raiser each year is the “757 Battle of the Beers”, a unique event that pits local, Hampton Roads-based breweries against each other to determine who has the best beer in Hampton Roads. In 2016, over 1000 patrons attended the event at Hunt Club Farm, raising over $20,000 for local charities (over $14,000 went to St. Mary’s Home, and $2,050 went to charities of the winning brewers’ choice).
Beach Ambassadors’ newest fundraising venture is “Martinis and Manicures,” a monthly event that raises money for different Hampton Roads-based charities. The group teamed up with Rudy and Kelly Academy and Eagles’ Nest Virginia Beach to allow patrons to purchase a martini and manicure for $15. ALL of the proceeds raised during the course of the event go directly to that month’s charitable organization.
