Beach Ambassadors Presents Virginia Beach CASA with Check

Virginia Beach, VA July 16, 2015: Beach Ambassadors, a non-profit organization with the ultimate goal of raising money and awareness for local, Hampton Roads-based charitable organizations, presented a check in the amount of $1700 to representatives from Virginia Beach Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) last Thursday.

Accepting the check on behalf of Virginia Beach CASA was Season Roberts. According to Roberts, “we are so thankful to have generous partners in the community like the Beach Ambassadors. Efforts and donations like this allow us to help more children in our community who need someone on their side, ensuring they end up in a safe, permanent home.”

The donation was the result of Beach Ambassadors’ monthly fundraiser called Martinis and Manicures, held every third Thursday of the month at Eagles’ Nest in the Hilltop area of Virginia Beach. Beach Ambassadors has teamed up with Rudy and Kelly Academy and Eagles’ Nest to provide patrons with a martini and manicure for $15, with all of the proceeds going directly to a Hampton Roads-based charity.

Virginia Beach CASA, a community-based program that recruits, trains and supports citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courtroom and community, was the benefactor of the first three Martinis and Manicures events. According to Beach Ambassadors President Jeff Hubbard, “Virginia Beach CASA is a hidden gem in our community. What they do for children is beyond extraordinary. When the group learned of all of the great things Virginia Beach CASA was doing in our community, we wanted nothing more than to help raise money and awareness to support the mission.”

The next Martinis and Manicures event is Thursday, August 20th from 6:00 to 9:00 at Eagles’ Nest (Virginia Beach). Beach Ambassadors plans to support a new Hampton Roads-based charity after every three events. Samaritan House, a Virginia Beach-based organization that combats domestic abuse and homelessness, is the current benefactor.
